My New Year

Firsly i would like to wish all my readers a happy chinese new year. Hope that you will acheive what is possibly the best for you this year.

This year's chinese new year is probably the most unhappening new year i had. I only had 2 days of holiday, and i was forced to work on the third day of CNY.

OK, so i ate loads and loads of home cooked food during the celebration, i put on weight, and i lost count of the amount of ang pows i received. This year, i was questioned countless times by my relatives and my friends whether i am married or if i had a girl friend? I`m feeling the pressure alright!.

i`ve always told myself that the best candidate is difficult to find here in Malaysia as they had been exported out of the country by thier parents. Why oh why??.

I'll try my best to find her though, but meanwhile i'll concentrate on what i love the most.....moooneyh moooneyh $$$$$$.I had a list of to do this year, they are:-

1) Drive a sports car

2) A nice maurice lacroix skeleton watch

3) and someone which i can talk to.

I've noticed that i've not posted much oh timepeices for some time now. I just wish i could get my hands on more of them, so i could review them.

Anyway keep tab on this site, i'll try hard to update more often.

Seat Ibiza Ecomotive review

Had an opportunity to drive the Seat Ibiza Ecomotive while i was in the U.K. This particular version is the 3 cylinder, 1.2 litre turbodiesel, 5 door model.

Spec wise may not look that impressive, but that doesnt reflect on how it feels in the hands of the driver. The engine may only produce 74bhp and 180Nm of torque. Official acceleration figures shows that 0-100kmh is reached at 13.9 seconds.

At engine speeds below 2000rpm, the car feels lethargic and underpowered, but once it goes past that, the engine suddenly delivers punches way above what other 1.5 litre cars could do!!!. I'm now in love with small turbodiesel engines.

Official fuel figures suggest that it can hit 80Mpg's, and after driving from sheffield to london with half a tank of fuel left, i can confirm that they weren't lying.

Ride wise was comfortable, with much of the bumps being soaked by the suspension, while the torsion beam setup in the rear copes with mid corner bumps well.

The skinny tyres dont provide much grip, and the car rolls a little in the corners, but people don't buy this car to drive swiftly around corners aren't they?. The brakes are JUST adequate, and brake feel is OK, no complaints.

As for the interior, the front passengers gets loads of room, while the rear passenger suffers due to insufficient legroom and headroom. This car is better with 4 passengers.

I also had a pleasant experience driving this car, as the the steering is great to hold, thew controls are well laid out, steering has great feel and very direct, manual gearchanges feels great and the doors close solidly.

As a conclusion, this car would be a fine family car as it provides all the basic need of a small family. Great value, good looks,comfortable, huge boot. Whats bad about it is the poor legroom for rear passengers.

Hey, i'm back to blogging again, and its been quite some time since i last posted something about myself. I have now officially graduated and working my way up the career ladder.

This career ladder is not something new for me, as i've worked my butts off since i was a little kid. From carrying sacks of 25KG potatoes, to distributing leaflets and bathing with engine oil and etc, i take no pride in telling other people of my history as i really endured what other kids had not.

I do not have the privilege that other school kids had when i was a little boy (secondary school), i rarely visited the cybercafe when i was a kid, i rarely go out at night when i was a kid, and i rarely mixed around when i was a kid...etc. Back then, i had to "punch card" in my daddy's office after school, and at that time on, my life as a salesman begun.

I've learned how to approach people and how to make people "like" you....but mind it, only applied to chinamen's, can't seem to work it on girls?, I'm really no good when it comes to sweet talking, understanding or be sensitive to them!.

One after another, my salesmanship becomes better and better by day, from a blardy cowardy boy, i've now become so confident in talking to people that i'm able to sell as many commercial vehicles as my boss himself.

Every sale makes me stronger and my confidence level boosted to new levels that some people starts to hate me for being too confident.

Just when my college life starts, again...i thought that i would regain my life back, as my business is already stable and alls well. But I'm wrong.....

When i was in college, i find it difficult to clique with some of my friend, it seems like identity crisis hit on me and suddenly i don't know how to approach or be "liked" by them, furthermore i really had difficulties in communicating withe them as i can't speak mandarin. I know its funny how a Chinese boy can't converse in proper Chinese, but back then they placed emphasis on mother tongue, and my mum just happen to speak Cantonese (thank god TVB was in Cantonese).

The identity crisis hit on me and i getting bored at school, so i did what i had to, i returned back to my office after every class. As the crisis continues, my friends list shrunk and my college life goes back to abnormal. While my friends are happily spending their college lives surrounded with girls,puppy loves and boozes, mine was all cars, trucks and diesels.

Years past just like that and soon my grades deteriorates as i lost interest in my studies, as blardy serious problem as i keep failing and failing my papers. As i kept repeating my subjects, my drive to soldier on with my studies slows down......but strangely my mum didn't even complaint? She only encourages me.

As years go by, i slowly pick up on my studies and finally till today only i've succeeded. It's only yesterday that both my parents attended my graduation with a wide grin plastered on both of their faces.

So what's my next move after graduation?, back to my business?...nuhhh....... enough!.

i would want to go my own way, i would like to work in a multinational company, i would like to endure office politics, i would like to meet powerful and influential people, i would like to have my life back......

While i was studying in U.K, i had my moment of my lifetime as i was in total control of myself. I had my students life when i was there, and i played as hard as i could. It was a brief one, but a wonderful one nonetheless

One of my favourite DJ is in Malaysia, and I'm privileged enough to get a ticket to the concert.

To be honest, this was my first concert to a DJ event, so its natural that i have low expectations, but this is one concert which even someone with low expectation like me felt a little shortchanged.

It wasn't a satisfactory event for me, as he did not played any of his popular songs such as Element of life, traffic, tears in open and etc.

My second piece of dress watch from Maurice lacroix was a LC 1148. With a chronograph and a moon phase indicator what more can i ask from a dress watch?. At RM5k + , its a bargain buy if you factor in the prices of ML watches displayed in their boutiques.

Firstly, its a dress watch with a quartz movement. Many enthusiast don't buy quartz watches anymore, but let me tell you how annoyed i am waking up every morning and picking up a watch that has stopped and needs winding and resetting. Quartz watches works 365 days non stop without any resetting.

I've not seen this watch before, and i bet its not a new collection as well, but what attracts me the most is the clarity of the dial. I've always loved clean and sharp dials, and this ML fits the bill nicely without being too expensive.

The crown and pushers are also properly finished as it should be in the higher ML models. Edges are rounded and details are superb.

This watch is built of stainless steel at 40 mm diameter, and its got a gold colored surrounding bezel which is really nice without being too flashy, although it tends to scratch easily.

The glass is made of sapphire crystal and it is not coated with anti reflective materials, so its gotta bling a little bit.

This watch sits pretty comfortably on the wrist, and it is secured with a deployant buckle which wraps around nicely on my wrist. The deployant buckle had a very high quality feel to it, but the leather strap doesn't feel too premium.

At 30m's of water resistance, and poor lume in the night, this is not the watch that you'll be wearing for rugged activities. The lume is close to useless when it comes to night reading, and the leather strap becomes uncomfortable once it is wet.

So if you're shopping for a affordable dress watch that is quartz powered, look nowhere. Tag Heuer F1 comes close, but then they are sport models and doesn't go well with blazers and ties.

I've not been posting anything for sometime now, and here I go, ending my month long hiatus with something about my beloved country again.

It seems that wherever i go, i noticed something strange after few months away from my motherland. I've start to notice more and more immigrants within my area in Klang valley. From chefs to tourist agents,money changers, employment agencies and etc, are some of the sectors where they ruled.

I see a general pattern in this country, and it seems that unskilled immigrants far outnumbered the skilled. This pattern is well known by most Malaysian, and we are well aware of the dependency on them.

Let me point out that i'm not here to spread discrimination or whatsoever, but I'm really puzzled on why they are so many of them here?. Are they legal or illegal?

From what i see, they are many of them which holds a stable job, and again i would like to question if its legal or illegal?.

Where are the youths?, where are the retired people?. These 2 groups of people should be the one that should be holding jobs instead of the immigrants. These 2 people are the ones that pays taxes and contributed to the motherland, and yet they are not employed?.

I believe the problem lies in our loose border control, and corruption. It seems that the illegals kept pouring in. I read the STAR headlines few days ago, and it reported that how the ROYAL NAVY managed to capture some pirates trying to hijack a ship. I salute to the ROYAL NAVY for their excellent job, they are really good at what they do. My point is no matter how good their job is, it seems that they are still "leaking Indonesians and Bangladeshi", well, some-ONE must have closed an eye, or slacked on his job.

Every Malaysian knows that the crime rate is very high, it's too high that the some respective authorities don't even want to publish the real figure. Most of these crimes go unpunished because the crime enforcer slacked in their job.

The bottomline is TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.

If you're in trouble, YOU are in trouble. Nobody else is going to help you. If there is, their intention is only to get you into further trouble by robbing you.

Make sure you plan your retirement properly, because you basically are the burden to the Malaysian society. Nobody's gonna employ you. You are ALONE.

Eat Fast food more often (eg. Mc Donalds,KFC..etc) because they seems to be the company that absorbs our Malaysian youths into their workforce. BAN mamak restaurants because they only want to make Malaysian ringgit, and don't intend to absorb our people into their workforce.

Similar arrangement to the regular Cooper, although slightly reworked to accommodate the rear axle.

At RM 250K this countryman is considered a premium SUV and it sits in a category of black label SUV's such as the Volkswagen Tiguan, Nissan Murano, Lexus RX and etc.

At 5.68 inches of ground clearance this is not exactly a vehicle where you would want to take it offroad. It definitely has sufficient clearance to deal with speed bumps or roadside kerbs. I was also told that the ALL4 Model has a slightly higher ground clearance, but this particular unit here is the 2WD version.

Engine wise, it's got a 1.6 litre turbo unit which is identical to the cooper S, and it pumps out 180 Bhp of power. Sufficient, but not powerful, and it loses out to the VW Tiguan's 2.0 TSI unit which produces 200Bhp.

I've yet to see any countryman's on our roads, even the MINI Clubman are so rare on Malaysian roads, so i could foresee that this countryman could be another flop for BMW. Anyway if i had that much money to spend, I wouldn't put it on the countryman, i'll either get the VW Tiguan or the Cooper S JCW.

I've recently purchased a karrimor panther 65 rucksack for my oncoming trip to the europe. This bag is considered as mid size, considering most people would go for the 100L pack for month long holidays.

This pack feels very durable and tough, and the outer fabric feels so rufty-tufty. Great bang for the buck.

I'll be going on a month long holiday soon, and hopes this karrimor wont fail on me.

Malaysia’s Slowing Performance

There are strong institutional reasons for the lagging performance against its regional neighbors

In the 70 years since World War II ended, East Asian economies, including Malaysia, appear to have largely got performance right. Malaysia was also one of 13 countries identified by the Commission on Growth and Development in its 2008 Growth Report to have recorded average growth of more than 7 percent per year for 25 years or more. Malaysia achieved this spectacular performance from 1967 to 1997.

However, since the Asian Financial Crisis of 1997 and1998, Malaysia’s economic performance when compared to previous decades has been lackluster and most macroeconomic indicators are trending downwards. This was confirmed by Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak himself in the publication on March 30, 2010 of the New Economic Model – Part 1. This was a very brave move but a necessary one by the premier as he acknowledged publicly the failures of Malaysia’s current economic model in order to demonstrate urgency for reforms.

The New Economic Model identifies domestic factors such as weak investor confidence, capability constraints (weak human capital, entrepreneurial base and innovative capacity) , productivity ceilings and institutional degradation and external factors such as a sluggish global economy caused by the global financial crisis of 2008-2009 and the rise of neighbors in the region in contributing to the declining growth trajectory.

If we were to revisit the determinants of growth and agree that proper institutions form the overall structure that determines long-term sustainable growth, then the logical response is to reform Malaysia’s institutional set-up, as it must be the deepest determinant of what is hindering economic growth.

This view is further strengthened as Malaysia’s other deep determinants, geography and trade, are favorable. The country has abundant natural resources, is shielded from natural hazards and is well-located strategically both geopolitically and economically. Malaysia has also benefitted tremendously from being an open economy, especially in the merchandise sector.

The New Economic Model also reports that regional challenges from China, India and Vietnam, etc. are a cause for Malaysia’s declining economic performance. What has changed about these countries? They have all undertaken institutional reforms: China since 1978, India since 1992 and Vietnam since 1986. They are reaping the benefits while Malaysia has stalled in its institutional reforms since the 1990s, regressed in some ways and is suffering from the consequences.

The above points stress the importance of institutional reforms in Malaysia, something that Najib has ironically neglected in his signature policies – 1Malaysia, Government Transformation Programme and Economic Transformation Programme.

According to the Growth Commission report, “…fast sustained growth is not a miracle; it is attainable for developing countries with the ‘right mix of ingredients.’ Countries need leaders who are committed to achieving growth and who can take advantage of opportunities from the global economy. They also need to know about the levels of incentives and public investments that are necessary for private investment to take off and ensure the long-term diversification of the economy and its integration in the global economy…”

Michael Spence, the Chairman of the Growth Commission, elaborated on his extensive experience working with developing countries on growth issues in his latest book by emphasizing two important characteristics for developing countries to ensure long term sustainable growth – the role of political leadership and democratic norms. He suggests four characteristics for governments that are necessary requirements to underpin long term growth:

1.The government takes economic performance and growth seriously.

2.The governing group has values that cause it to try to act in the interest of the vast majority of the people (as opposed to themselves or some subgroup, however defined)

3.The government is competent and effective and selects a viable sustained-growth strategy that includes openness to the global economy, high levels of investment, and a strong future orientation.

4.Economic freedom is present and is supported by the legal system and regulatory policy

I'm surprised to see that even Najib is aware that our economy is going downward, jeez, it took a long time for him to figure it out though!!!

Malaysia's economy had been spiraling downwards ever since BODOWI took over. I remembered he once did something really useful by imposing a minimum salary of RM600, but after much pressure from the private sector he kept the issue aside and let it chill.

Ever since Najib took over, nothing much changed.....erm, apart from the 1 Malaysia slogan.
Fresh graduates with overseas degrees starts with a low salary of RM2k+, and it was the same few years ago, see how stagnant it is?. Half of it will go to the condominium, because you could barely afford a landed house, and the other half onto a car. This means all that's left is peanuts, and you'll be forced to eat Roti kosong RM1,Nasi lemak RM1, and teh tarik RM1.20 , of which will kill you faster than your loan tenure, than the government says we have to excersice more often because malaysian are obese...F**k it

What i'm stressing here is that, our spending power had been suppressed because we pay heftily on cars which is considered a must in Malaysia, why? Ask BODOWI lo. LRT line was announced since he stepped into office, but now in 2011, haven't build yet!!!.

Cars in Malaysia is so expensive that we some of us literally spend 10 years in repayments, on top of the 35 years repayment that we spend for the condo, that's a heavy burden for a light monthly paycheque. Guess right now it will be more economical to eat mamak/malay food rather than chinese/indian food...no wonder those Pendatang overtaken the Malays

Racism is not something extraordinary and rare, its a plagued that happens in all countries irregardless of poor or rich. Everybody hates racist, it's a disease that divides humans, believes, and it is dangerous.

I've been a victim of rasicm all my life, and i've learned to tolerate it and not give a shit about it. I've also learned to trust only to myself, and to work hard to achieve something on myself. Nobody's going to feed me if i failed and nobody's going to be there when you need a help. This wise and short quotes had been repeated by my parents over and over again since i was a little kid, and it still proves to be true till today. What i'm trying to stress here is that Malaysian chinese had to rely on themselves to survive, and we were typically cast out to the sea by our beloved motherland, and we had to swim to survive or drown.

The Malaysian Chinese are proud of their country, and notice how we called ourselves "Malaysian first, Chinese second"?, you recalled that? our Deputy prime minister used to argued on that!!!. My granpa used to fought for his country, and willing to die for his country and I myself would do the same in that situation, but....see what's happening today?. We are called "PENDATANG" which means immigrant in Malay.

Sometimes i wondered, my granparents was born in Malaysia, i was born in Malaysia, My Identity card was registered in Malaysia,I can speak proper Malay,I paid taxes, and still, i am called a pendatang?, while Mamaks are not?. Was it because of my religion or skin colour?...... Go ask those dumb Malaysian politicians!!!!!.

I am born and bred in Malaysia for 26 years, and my grandparents used to tell me stories of the 3 main races in Malaysia, which is Malay,Chinese and Indians. Now "1 Malaysia concept" had made the pool more diverse by introducing Indonesian Malaysian, Bangla Malaysian, Myanmar Malaysian and etc.

To make matters worse, Malaysian Chinese in West Malaysia are "NOT BUMIPUTRAS", while Malaysian Chinese in East Malaysia "ARE BUMIPUTRAS" (bumiputra means the son of the soil in Malay). I had an uncle in Lahad datu,Sabah in east Malaysia, he is a Chinese, he is registered as a Bumiputra and it is stated in his identity card, he enjoys the benefit of having discount when buying a house, he can join into UMNO party which in west Malaysia is reserved only to Malays......... I AM NOT!!!!!. Why?

Malaysian Chinese Population Declines to 25%

In a census just beyond 2000, I heard that there were approximately 32% ethnic Chinese in Malaysia. This, at the time was alarming enough as we were closer to 40% in the earlier days. Today, it is reported at as of 2005, there are only 25% and the number continues to reduce.

Why is this? I think everyone knows the answer why. Non Malays in Malaysia are being systematically marginalised to make way for fellow Malays who need not get things like scholarships by merit. It is practically presented to them on a silver platter, regardless if they are deserving or not.

Most Chinese and Indians who can afford to send their children overseas would definitely NOT encourage them to work and settle down in Malaysia. Put yourself in their shoes, ask yourself, Why would you want your children to suffer the same fate as you?. Perhaps you might argue that "the pastures are always greener on the other side"?, but nope, not me. I was a Second class citizen back in my own country, and now in U.K, i'm still a second class citizen, so does it makes any difference?

Even our neighbours, Singapore is laughing at us, so as a conclusion i would like to thank the government for casting us out, it had made the Malaysian Chinese stronger, because we are not living on welfare, and we are forced to work harder and smarter than others.

Every country is laughing at Malaysia, and here the ministers are fighting over "Ketuanan Melayu". If i'm a Malay, i should be very embarassed. Think about it, if you let the "Malayu Islam" as said by Ibrahim Ali, to run the economy, do you think it will flourish?. The Malays are blessed to have the Chinese and Indians in this country, and Don't call us Pendatang, Malays are immigrants as well, its just that the government had altered the history books that you've read......We are the same, we are equal, and most importantly, WE ARE MALAYSIANS.

I'm sure some of you might be noticing that i've started to speak mandarin more often now, I'm in U.K but still i'm learning mandarin, weird?. Chinese population here in U.K is huge, wherever you go, chances are you would bump into one of them. From restaurants to markets to shopping mall, i've been approached by them all asking where i'm from.

I've been asked that question so many times that i started to identify myself as a local Brit.
Everytime when i was asked "why are you a chinese but doesn't know how to speak mandarin", i;ve got to explain a long story to them, and i got fed-up that i'm learning their lingo now.

Today i had dinner with some of my friend, and of of them was a girl, and i asked the most dumbest question whether she would like to have skinless chicken or not, it goes like this, but translated to English:-

me: What do you want?
girl: i want fried chicken with ......
me: Chicken? want " Ji pei" ?
girl: .....huh.........(swing her bag to my chest)
me: "Ji pei" not nice meh? Why hit me? (got hit again)

After the incident, it turns out that I was supposed to say "Ji Pee" instead of "Ji pei" which means vagina in mandarin.

So i got "bagged" today for not knowing what i was saying.

So should i be proud being a banana?....erm i think so!!!!

Sennheiser MX370 review

I've never touched earphones for a long long time now, but since i've got my hands on a new pair of Sennheiser MX370 earphones i mind as well be writing something about it. This earphone probably cost peanuts to buy, and i think i saw it at a departmental store for around 19 pounds.

This earphone might be cheap, but if you want good music at low price, is suggest getting a headphone or an in ear earphone instead. I've abandoned earphones ever since i got my first headphone which is a philips, and i've never went back ever since.

For starters, this earphone is not properly shaped to fit into my ears which means lots of sound leakage and incomplete sealing. Bass wise was OK, as it was deep enough and it handled the low end bass without much distortions UNTIL you turn up the volume where it lost its OK-ness.

Higher pitch sounds were OK, not as clear as you would expect but still somewhere around the acceptable region. When the volume goes up, the treble will overtake the bass which at that point its cheapness starts to show.

The bottomline is, if you're going looking for cheap and cheerful earphone, you're not listening too loud (less than 40% volume), likes to listen to pop, and want to listen to music and have a conversation at the same time, then you will find this quite suitable, but if you are the type who wants trance,disco,metal, DO NOT get this even though it suits your budget.

Riots and Disaster around the world, Could the 2012 prophecy be true?

I'm sure most of you heard about the London riot that is happening here in the U.K, and i'm sure as well that readers here had relatives that are in U.K now. I can tell you that they are safe from harm, as the police here is way more efficient than the ones back in Malaysia.

To be more precise, it isn't a riot that's been happening down in London, its more like a Mass Looting of high end products. I've saw from the news that most that took part in the riots are students and young people. Nobody know what had been the cause of the riots, even the authorities doesn't know it.

Life is already difficult for Londoners, as they have to pay for their living on top of that the taxes and utilities, but wait.....the U.K government provides welfare for the poor isn't it?. This question is not an easy one, and it also does not have a definite answer to it.

To sum up thoe riots that's been happening this year in 2011 are:-

It's only August of 2011 and there are a few already, i guess the peoples of the world are getting greedier and going berserk.

I've seen many of these video from youtube, and from what they've interviewed from the rioters, is the lack of job opportunity and freedom.

People all around the world are complaining about the high food prices and and lack of job opportunities, and when few people get together and shares the same problem, it becomes anger, and eventually the anger will turn into violence.

I've also started to question myself on why such thing ever happens?. If you are deprived of jobs, shouldn't you be working harder to find one instead of rioting? Shouldn't you be at home thinking hard for a way out instead of causing harm on the streets?

For those who's not affected by the riots, think about it out of the box. Why does it happen? Is there a pattern to why all these riots happen?. Try to think of it as a whole, is it because of the scarcity of resources? Do you think there is a mastermind behind all this?, Do you think its the work of Americans? or do you think its because its a warning from god of the impending disaster that's coming in 2012? or perhaps the rioter know something that we don't know, perhaps knowing that their government is building an ark, and they loot whatever they can to get the save for the tickets to the ark?......I don't know!!!!.

All i know is the mankind populations should be at its peak now, and there will always be forces of nature or perhaps mankind, that's always trying to keep everything in balance.

Perhaps this video could explain more about what's been happening in 2011.

Wow..quite simple really.

Li-ion battery has got 1650mAH of capacity, and its even got an extra micro SD slot

Dual cameras, 3.5mm headphone jack, and at this angle the screen still look clear.

Pixels? What? Its a sharp screen, enough said.

This mega samsung could perhaps be one of the most lightest and thinnest 4 inch phone i've ever held, or placed in my pocket. I'm not kidding you about the lightness, because the battery cover is made of thin plastic, the aluminium side strips that surrounds the phone feels cheap and very light. That might not be a bad thing for this phone though as i am really happy with the weight of the Galaxy S2 in my pocket.

As you turned it on, you'll immediately noticed how bright and cheerful the screen is, because its utilising samsungs popular SUPER-AMOLED screen. The gorilla glass screen is also very tough which means it will not break if you accidentally sit on it, and its scratch proof too. Black colours also appears really black, and other colour are stunningly rendered, and the live wallpaper really is jaw dropping, furthermore, the screen offers a high resolution which means icons looks really smooth.

The specification of the phone is as impressive as the design of the phone because it utilises the latest 1.2 Ghz Samsung Orion processor which has 2 cores, and it running it will be via the android 2.3.3 which is very responsive and quick. I've tried running a 720p movie with the built in video player, and it turns out to be quite laggy. Yeah...no doubt its got a fast processor, could even be faster than the ipad's processor, but a phone is a phone, or could it be the software that's at fault?

The phone function is good, with call sounding crisp,clear and loud enough. The reception strenght is great as well, holding its signal better than my Nokia E7 could. While the quality of the calls were great, the Phonebook functions and the messagings are too much for me. I think android phonebooks are quite complicated, because there is too much functions in there. I've got used to picking up the phone, selecting the contact and pressing th dial button, but this galaxy just had more steps involved which is unnecessary.

Web browsing on this phone is a blast, courtesy of the big screen and responsive SWYPE on screen keyboard. I've ditch the default browser for a Opera browser instead, and i've been told that this device supports Flash 10.3 contents.

As for the camera, i couldn't find a fault for it, as the pictures produced are great, and its even got a macro mode that really works...ON A PHONE!!!.

As for video, it can record full HD videos, which also produce stunning results.

After spending almost 2 weeks on the phone, i can say that i'm quite happy with it, as it is powerful and light enough to hold, plus the battery life when running on battery saving mode can last me up to 2 full days with light usage and web surfing at 60% screen brightness. But if you ever use it to watch HD movies, it will get pretty warm in your hands, and it will struggle to last a day. I'm sure those who buys this phone will not use it squarely for work, but if you're really into video,gaming, and "always on" data mode, you'll probably zap up the battery very very fast.

Recomended if you want a small and powerfull phone which is both stable and easy to use, and to those who don't mind keeping this device for for a year or two. But if you really are a gadget freak, and you want the best toys to wow your friends, i'd say wait for the LG 3D phone. I'd saw the LG today at carphone warehouse and it's "OhmegawdfreeginAwhhhhsome".

The LG 3D phone is launched today, i've played with it, and i definately loved it. Get the LG 3D instead of this samsung galaxy if you are NOW shopping for phones at this price. The 3D effect will surely pop your cherry.

Peugeot 3008 Hdi Review

The peugeot 3008 looks quite nice though!!!.

This peugeot 3008 HDi is the first ever peugeot i've driven, and i've driven for more than 1000kms on it already.
Here's the specification of the 3008:

Engine: 1.6 litre Turbo diesel
Output: 110hp
Torque: 192lb ft
MPG: 55.3

Cabin

Nothing much to fault on except the satnav which is quite confusing to use.

Dash is easy to read, and bright, but a little too minimalist.

Do you really need this? Isn't the seat belt buzzer annoying enough?

The quality of the cabin is quite good. The dash board is covered with soft plastics, the leather wrapped steering is good to hold. The door panel also have soft plastics and lined with real aluminium strips which makes it looks very classy.

There's a lot of storage space in the cabin, the space in the boot was HUGE, but legroom was a little tight for my height at 6 feet. The seating position is akin to a Van, which is mounted high, but short legs. This seating position will make taller drivers feel tired after prolonged hours of driving, but fortunately the seats were supportive.

Headroom and shoulder room is good, and the cabin feels airy.

The sound system pumps up great music, and its easy to use, but unfortunately the same cannot be said for the Satnav system which is confusing and difficult to use. The remote commander which is located next to the wiper stalks are also quite difficult to use as they are clustered together with the ignition keys and the wiper stalk, and sometimes when you want to increase the volume of the radio, you could accidentally activate the wipers or pressed on the keys, Peugeot could have used steering buttons instead of the old fashioned remote commander.

Engine

The engine in this 3008 feels quite brisk, slightly above the "enough" level. The turbocharger in this car kicks in at around 1600rpm, and once it hits this mark, the surge of power comes in big lumps and the passengers will probably notice it, but thankfully its smooth and revs quite freely up to 5000rpm.

This diesel engine is very clattery, it feels like Peugeot had skimped on engine bushes. Its clattery when idle, and the vibration can be felt on the gear levers and the clutch pedals.

Fuel consumption was great, as it returned over 50mpg.

Ride and Handling

The ride is a little bit bumpy at low speed, but settles down at high speed. Meanwhile the handling was good, with the steering giving great feedback and sharpness but a little bit light, and body roll was also very minimal.

Travelling at speeds at 90mph, the ride feels comfortable, and noise levels are just merely acceptable. At this speed, the car also feels susceptible to crosswind. When anything slightly bigger than the 3008 overtakes you at speeds above 70mph, you will practically feels the cars side to side motion, and this is not cool, because it requires a lot of steering correction to keep the car straight and it tires my arms.

This peugeot uses the good old torsion beam rear suspension, which explains why it has a big and deep boot. The front uses the McPherson Independent suspension. I've always hated cars with beam type suspension at the rear, and this peugeot is no exception, and mid corner bumps still upset the cars balance.

The brakes in this car is good, great stopping power and pedal feel, but the pedal are relatively small and they are not spaced adequately enough.

Conclusion

This peugeot 3008, fits in between the MPV and 4x4 category, and its got competitions from both sides. And for the question of ,Do i recommend it?, i think its a NO for me.

The peugeot doesn't give me the impression that its a proper good quality car, the door close with a hollow thud, while it rides well, it didn't feel sophisticated enough,it's powerful enough and economical to run, after my non stop drive down to south of england, my legs felt tired not because of the clutch action , but because of the lack of legroom.

Yes....i'm friggin affraid of heights. Liverpool's eyes nearly made me wet my pants.

I've traveled all the way from southern Yorkshire down to the South of England, and its a long long journey, so i'd recommend you get some good company and a comfy vehicle to start with. I''ve always hated long journeys on roads, but after experiencing the beauty in Llanberis, i'd say its all worth the sacrifice.

After Llanberis, we travelled back up to Liverpool for a night there. Liverpool has got nice shopping centres and like always, i can't resist shopping, so i bought myself some clothings and a spanking new Samsung galaxy S2, as i'm so fed up with my Nokia E7.

I'll be writing a review soon on the Samsung Galaxy S2, so check back later. As for now, i;ve gotta stop blogging on my galaxy S2 now, as the battery is going to die soon.

Reviewing the Ford S-Max 2.0 TDCi Titanium

I've went for a weekend trip from Sheffield to the mountains of Snowdon with this new Ford S-max 7 seater. This version is the 2000cc Turbodiesel version with the 6 speed manual shifter.

The specification is as below:
Engine: 2.0 Duratorq TDCi
Max power : 163Ps
Max Torque: 340Nm
MPG: 45
Kerb weight: 1690Kg

This van currently ranks first on my list of 7 seater vans i've driven. Its got the combination of both power and handling in a VAN!!!.

Cabin

First of all when you climb aboard this vehicle,you will first notice the nice and cosy cabin. The materials used in its construction is solid and imparts a quality feel to it. The thick leather wrapped steering wheel feels nice to touch, the doors gives a solid thud when closed. When i think about it, there isn't any noticeable cheap plastics around the interior EXCEPT the control on the radio, but i've accustomed to the steering controls that I've don't need to lay my fingers on the radio.

This car also comes with a starter button which proves to be useful when stalling. I've stalled the vehicle many times, and just by a dab of the clutch and pressing the starter the vehicle comes to life. But while doing that make sure you release the handbrake as the some might not be accustomed to the handbrake design which looks like an aircraft styled lever.

The built in Sony audio system sounds poor, perfect for classic and jazz, but anything else sounds tinny due to the lack of bass. This vehicle comes equip with the Ford Convers+ which is typically a premium color screen display on the dashboard, and its crappy. The colors are beautiful but the information it provides is a little lacking.

The front windscreen pillars also hinder visibility as they are quite thick and there 2 of them.

The 3rd row seats are so easy to deploy, and entry into it is not that much difficult as well. The seats offer good support and they are very comfortable even after 3 hours sitting in the car, furthermore they hold you firmly in place during spirited driving.

Ride and Handling

The S-max uses Independent McPherson struts in front and the popular Independent control blade suspension arrangement at the back which is the similar arrangement on a Ford focus. The result is great handling and comfort.

This 7 seater van corners so much better than most saloon does and it now ranks 1st in my list for its great handling, and its ride quality, until i've tested the Mercedes Benz R-class that is.

While driving on a twisty section of the road, the front end of the vehicle feels light and agile which is probably due to the electronic steering, while the rear feels very stable and planted. If all hell broke loose, the ESP will intervene and keep the car going on its desired direction. The car also rolls very little around corners and my passengers didn't felt sick when i drove it around the hills of Snowdon.

The ride quality is also very good, bumps are soaked up relatively well by the suspension, and it goes pretty well over Britain cobbled roads without rattling my passengers too much.

Engine

The engine is little gem, and this duratoq unit produces a massive 340Nm of torque which means overtaking is effortless and this engine is also very smooth. There's no noticeable turbo lag, and the turbo kicks in at a relatively low (around 1800rpm), but it feels quite linear, no sudden turbo rush or whatsoever, and the only thing that's going to stop you from revving ever higher is when it reaches 5000rpm, it will start to rattle, and it sounds like the turbo is going to fly out from its housing.

During high speed run on highways, i could easily overtake cars at 6th gear, even with a boot full of luggage and 7 passengers on.

The fuel consumption is also relatively good, and returning around 45 miles for every gallon of fuel.

Conclusion

This S-max is definitely recommended for those who's shopping for a small 7 seater MPV, its quite easy to park, its comfortable, its powerful, its sporty and it looks great. Everything that a thinking family man needs!!!.

You may laugh at what i want to say in this post here. Let me ask you, how loud do you listen to your favorite track?. 20-40% volume?.

If that's the average volume that you're so used to listen to your favourite track, chances are you've never EXPERIENCED music!. Music is not only something that you listen while commuting on your way home, it' not something that you play just to keep you companied...No no no...it's not only that..

If you're listening to low volumes all this while, you may have missed out the details background effect that some songs had. First of all, you need something that is powerful enough to uncompress your MP3, then you need some kick ass listening device such as a speaker or earphone.

If you've got that checked, then it's time to pump it up!!!!. I've compiled some classical and trance music to start our tutorial with....lol!!!.

Biography of Yundi Li

Yundi Li was born in Chongquing in central China. As with many musicians, his penchant for music became apparent in early childhood. One day, when he was three years old, he was so fascinated by a man playing an accordion in a shopping mall that he refused to leave the mall.
At the age of four, he started learning to play the accordion. When he was seven, he asked his parents to let him have piano lessons. At the age of twelve, Li gave the best performance in a fiercely competitive selection process and thus earned himself a place at the top music school in Sichuan province.
About a year later, when Li's teacher decided to take up a post at the School of Arts in Shenzhen, southern China, Li's family moved in order to allow the young prodigy to continue his studies in Shenzhen. The tuition at this school was expensive, and Li's mother had already given up her job in order to supervise the boy's education. However, Li had won numerous scholarships and awards which enabled him to afford the fees.
At thirteen, Li won the Stravinsky Competition in the United States. He went on to take First Prize at the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition in the United States and Third Prize at the Franz Liszt Piano Competition in the Netherlands, as well as being a major winner in the Second China International Piano Competition in Beijing.
At just eighteen, Yundi Li won the first prize at the Frederic Chopin Competition held in Warsaw in October 2000.

Ohh dear..... tertiary education is stressing isn't it?, fret not as i have some of the best pieces to relieve off some stress.

These pieces had been playing over and over in mind for years, and whenever i feel stressed, i just plonk my in-ear phones into my phone and crank up these tracks all the way up to 70% volume.

After all these years of listening, i believe my taste for music is quite UP THERE!!!. Personally i feel that in ear phones are best for classics and sentimental instruments, and 60%-70% volume is quite at the sweet spot of listening to these tracks. NEVER go too loud on classics as the high pitched notes made by the piano or Sax will give you headache as your eardrum vibrates violently.

As for trance music, a closed up headphone is the best, and the sweet spot should be at 85-90% volume. Close your eyes, listen to the background music, immerse yourself into the music, and let your imaginations runs deep into whatever song you're listening to. When you're calm and relaxed you could feel your body starts to slow down, and starts to enter a subconscious realm where you're half asleep but still conscious. Might be what they called "A state of trance". Its a little bit difficult to describe what feeling or sensation, unless you experience it yourself. Try it by picking up a very nice track that you loved.

At 80% volume, i suggest you do not exceed an hour on listening as it may make you dizzy.

That's what I recommend you noobs out there, so if you already had a pair of sweet phones, you might want to pick it out and listen to some of your old forgotten track.

This guy here had exposed the wrong doings of our current prime minister Najib on the scandalous Scorpene submarine deal and the connection to the Altantuya murder.

Kuala Lumpur: Just five months after induction, Malaysia's first submarine, a French made Scorpene has developed serious problems, raising question mark over India's acquisition of the same deepwater warfare machine.

The defects in the submarine KD Tunku Abdul Rahman, named after country's first Prime Minister, have delayed navy's tropical water trials which had to be stopped as the vessel was found unfit for diving, Defence Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi told reporters.

The submarine, the first of the two, was purchased for a staggering 3.4 billion ringgits (USD 961 million). The defects forced a three-month delay in the completion of the trials with the manufacturer DCNS (France) having to extend the warranty.

French police have obtained "quite crucial documents" in the Scorpene submarines probe on whether French arms giant DCN had paid kickbacks to Malaysian officials, including Prime Minister Najib Razak, to secure the deal.
The 58-year old Najib had been the Defense minister sanctioning the acquisition in 2002. Even then, there had been much public unhappiness over the price which was seen as too expensive, and furthernore, the high-tech submarines considered as unsuitable for patrolling the country's shallow coastline. Right now, both ships are docked in Sabah and hardly used. There have also been reports of system malfunctions due to the unsuitability of the territorial waters.
"It is likely that in September we should have access to the first police conclusions from all the investigations that have taken place over the last 18 months. We know that the police seem to have obtained quite crucial documents," Asia Sentinel reported Paris-based lawyer William Bourdon assaying.

Looks like unless the French government is willing to help him out and muzzle the case, Najib may have run out of hiding places. Whatever time that he can buy will not last long either.

And to pundits familar with all the ramifications both at the Malaysian and French ends, it is impossible for him to escape scot-free. One way or another, they say he will have to explain to his people the true extent of his involvement, not just in the kickbacks but also in the Altantuya murder.

In fact, not even his UMNO party can save him. With the Scorpenes trial expected to be heard in the French open court in August or September, many of the party warlords are already gearing up to push him out and slam the door on his administration, which has been scarred by non-achievement, gutter politics and extensive corruption.
It does not help that in recent months, Najib has felt the pressure and added to his own discomfort by making several disastrous decisions. The most recent was ordering a violent crackdown on a citizens rally for free and fair elections two weeks ago. His fast-fading popularity and plunging credibility makes him an easy target now.
Rightfully, the BN government should have immediately lodged a compliant with the French authorities when news reports about the huge Scorpene kickbacks first came to light. However due to Najib's influence, no one in the Malaysian government has dared to call for a public probe so far.

Even a suspicious 114 million euros (RM570 million) side-deal granted to Baginda's firm, Perimekar, has been whitewashed in Parliament as a "services" and "maintenance" contract, when it is obvious that the obscure firm has no experience or track-record in such a high-tech industry.

Numerous reports have also been lodged by Malaysian citizens, who are alarmed that the RM7 billion price tag is still climbing. It is now apparent Najib may have hidden the full cost to Parliament, opting to gradually seek additional budget allocations to maintain the ships rather than to reveal at one-go the full 'damage' to taxpayers. Yet till now, Malaysian police as well as the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission have refused to initiate any investigation into the file at all.

Yeap, you've read it, the big man up there is spending billions of our money in purchasing subs that can't dive and shoot. Maybe in the coming future when i am fortunate enough to buy a home, i'll built a underground bunker or arm my garage chock full with M16 riffles.

My country is not secure, and the only thing securing us from threats are the peace loving Malaysian people themselves (Malays, Chinese, Indians, Sikhs). The government can only boast about how well they've armed their men and how good their tanks are, but really!, are they battle worthy?. The PDRM tok kok only pandai, but OMFG are they useless!!!, not to mention are how they acted like gangstas during the previous Bersih 2.0 rally. The court...well, there's no court!!!, Uncle Lingam can settle ma!!!.

Malaysians are generally a quarantined bunch, with government controlling the news that we read, the sugar that we consume, the petrol that we pump, the internet sites that we visit, and etc it will be very hard to get away from the clenched fist of the Government, unless you MIGRATE!!!. Malaysian had been exporting kids out of the country at an astounding rate, more and more parents are getting fed up with the government for being incompetent in raising our wages.

I do really hate the brain drain phenomena in Malaysia and it's been causing me to be SINGLE all this while because, lovely and smart chics are all been exported overseas by their parents who themselves are feeling the crunch of raising food prices and low wages in Malaysia.

If one day, the big man Najib falls, and the demands of Bersih 2.0 is met, i could foresee that things could slowly turn better. I'm sorry but there's nothing much you could do now Mr. Najib. Your repute is kaput and you should retire ASAP before you end up like Mubarak's case.

I've always loved how businessman mix politics and business together. In Malaysia where the government always told us on how friendly they in building a competitive and good business environment for Malaysian and foreigners, but eventually it all turned out to be just an empty promise.

I am a businessman, and i knew how lengthy it is for the government to approve permits. Red tapes and corruption means that anything that has to do with the government will obviously drain much of your resource, every time i need to get a permit for a heavy vehicle in JPJ, those blardy flers will surely kick me to putrajaya, and after that back to JPJ again to check if it is registered in their computers...? WTF.

Another example for those who wants to start a business!. To register a company is fast, but to get approval from the police and fire department is extremely slow, not to mention that you need signboard permit,banner permit, trading license.....there goes my cheap petrol for travelling round and round K.L. Why cant they have it all under a roof? WTF?

In this video, he said some of his business are not subsidised and yet, he managed to make profit out of it and priced it lower for the consumers. At first you might think that this rich man here has not taken us, the mid income earners into consideration, but after a long taught, i'll say that he's got a good point there. Subsidies are good for us!, who doesn't like cheap fuel and sugar? But, take a minute and think about it!.
Do you want cheap fuel when the car you buy is one of the most expensive in the world?. Malaysians are obese and unhealthy and do you still want more sugar?

Listen to what francis yeoh has got to say, and you'll notice that he keeps attacking the GUV!!!

I'm too pissed off with dramas of incompetent politicians. I want to vote for a change, any party will do as long as it's not the ageing BN.

Yup, its raja petra talking again, and this was recorded in ANU, and this was before admitted that he had been framing najib all along. I mean it's a little bit weird isn't it to be changing something that you've fought so hard for?. A couple of years ago, you've been barking very loudly on Najib, and now all of a sudden you come back and say that it's all a ploy?. Yea kiss me rear.....

The reason i post this video is because i really loved the way he talks. I've seen most of his video on youtube recently, and his speech will wow you into disbelieve. He's calm when he talks, and every time he's been bombarded with a question, he can joke it out from that situation. I don't know this guy, but i loved the way he delivers his speech, and it is millions of miles better than our prime minister does.

I've not blogged for a long long time now. My last post was just a short and sloppy job of uploading several photos onto the server. The reason for this is because the time i had for blogging is just so limited that i rather not write anything here.

I've been in UK for a month now, and i'm starting to miss some of the guyz back in my country!. Sometimes i'd wonder why do you bother to think about the shyt that happens back in your country?. Right from where i am, i'd saw new of Malaysian rallying againts their government, racism,corruption and lots more that i rather not talk about.

Since there is NO "The Star" paper here, most of the students here rely on the internet for news on their country, and boy oh boy, you've got to see it to believe it!. Now, if anybody asked me about my country of origin, i might give it a thought, and answer Hong Kong instead!.

Here in U.K, i've had many followers, the reason for this is chiefly because i help settle many of their love problems. I gave the hopeless hope and the mindless ideas, and after all this they've gave me a tittle of Doc. Funny?....Taught so!!!!.

But seriously this shyt really happens. I've been so good at coaching them that i've failed to do so to myself. I've tried so hard to do something that i've never taught i could have done which is dating, and it failed on me miserably. I've tried to approach them, buy them a drink, asked them out, and all the thing that worked for the other patients, but it doesn't seem to work for me, and all of these failures pulled down my morality and repute. Honestly, i'd want to ask if any of you guyz ever ever been rejected for 4 times in a row for a date?, NO?.

Maybe i'm the only guy here to have failed to do so 4 times in a row, but what the hell? I don't blame my momma for giving birth to me. I've suspected the problem is because i don't know how to spot the "single" and "non-single" signs!.

Honestly, i'd think that malaysian chinese student here are so friggin conservative man. They will never give a damn about you if you just walk in front of them and start a conversation, furthermore blind date never existed in their dictionary either.

There's also one thing which is definitely hate about these Malaysian chinese student here is thier habit of making defensive walls around their prized possessions.

These Chinese boys, goes to a club, drink, dance and build human walls around their female friends which is basically imprisoning them from the desperate guyz whose watching them from the outer wall. Cmon girls, you're here to have fun is it? why go to a club with your stewpet guy friends that keeps imprisoning you?.

You girls gotta get out of the circle, because the guyz that's been imprisoning you all along isn't going to give you happiness and the freedom you want, furthermore i dont even think he can afford to buy you a 12 carat diamond.

Those species of people will not go far in life, and if i were you, i would ditch those LOSER who's building the walls and go for the guy who's been watching on you across the dance floor all night.

You've only got 1 life, and my advice is don't give it to the LOSERS.

Trip to Leeds

It's been 3 weeks since i left my Malaysia, and after all these days, I've not felt homesick yet. Maybe its because i'm taking this as a vacation?.

The month long stay in U.K is pretty pleasant one. From clubs to trips, to dinner parties, you just name and chances are, i've been there.

So the little area called leeds,, how was it?. Well, nothing much that i could say other than shopping and shopping. There's lots of free museums and art centres, but boy oh boy are they boring. Its not to say that they have little substance in the museum, but its because i'm not interested to look at how walrus breed and how mushrooms grow. I'm a grown men ya know?.

This afternoon i had a chatting session with one of my long lost friend from nilai that i've never spoken to before. it started with a Hi, and then it carried on and on.

it felt weird talking to a complete stranger isn't it?. But don't know why, the conversation quickly turned from a cold Hi and into a warm one. This girl must be special, i think!!!

Experiences in Sheffield

My second day in sheffield was spent walking around the vaccinity of the university, and explore the scattered University complex buildings scattered along the city. Today's experience can be easily summarised into a word which is "NICE". For once I've get to walk along miles and miles of paved roads with perspirating and soaking my shirt with sweat, and for this reason alone, I've fallen in love with its weather.

Ipoh trip

I was a Ipoh these couple of days to attend one of my cousin's wedding, which I'm not closely attached to. They are my cousin, and i think blood related as well, but when i meet them up, i really could not recall any fond memories i had with them, the worse is i don't even know how to call them.....so i just laughed/smiled and called them by thier nicknames **eih*.

Ok, forget about the wedding stuff, and let me bring you to what i've done during this 2 day ordeal that i had. The best memories could probably be summarized into a very short sentence which is "Damn cow full". As you flers know, IPOH is a popular makan destination for most malaysian, and the taste and quality of the food there *If you know where to go* is simply out of this world.

I'll name some examples,the chicken floss noodle in lou wong, ho hee noodle, tuck kee prawn noodle, egg tarts from nam cheong, dim sum from foh san, yong tau foo from cheah bro's and etc, are some of the must have that topped my list once i'm there.

Because yesterdays was the only day, i've ever spent a full 12 hours there in Ipoh, i'll show you what i;ve done there in a day.

1) Foh san dim sum as usual.
2) Visit the coffee shop infront of nam cheong for a white coffee, roasted bread, and chee cheong fun.
3) After finishing the coffee, we walked over to nam cheong, to drink coffee again, but this time we ordered the fresh pastries and *egg tarts* and fried mee.
4) Hang out in starbucks ipoh parade, and coffee again.
5) After finishing coffee, drive over to somewhere near the haircut academy to have Ho-hee noodles and wanton mee, and then washed down with some chinese desert ( don't know what's it called though).
6) Waited in a long line for *happy mountain* tow foo fah *beancurd desert*.
7) Drove over to pat kok lou pastry shop, and packed a lot of pastries.
8) Dinner in a new hotel, somewhere near casuarina. We can still sapu all the food in the table.

With our tummies all full to the brim, we happily drove home. But now, i'm suffering because as i'm posting this, i had a ENO drink on desk, and my tummy is burbling heavily at this moment, guess i'm gonna have to starve my self for the entire week, to offset the carbs i gained in this 2 days.

Waiting

I was blogging this while waiting in front of my lecturer's office waiting to meet him. Because i had already waited for an hour, and i think i'm gonna wait for at least 1 more before he shows up, it will be better if i could kill some time entertaining you flers here instead.

What i was hoping to shout out was the problem with waiting. You readers could probably had waited for so many thing to come, or perhaps won't come. But have you ever wondered on why do you have to wait for them and not vice versa instead?.

Many people waited for so many things, be it your bonus,your birthday,your love and etc, but why wait when you could have done something else instead?

Perhaps while waiting for that special something or someone, you could at least be doing something else to obtain another thing? Confused?. I'll give an example on LOVE. Instead of waiting for a girl or a guy to show up at your doorstep and be your lovely GF or BF, why don't we PLAY/FLIRT around before we come back and meet the person you're waiting for LATE?.

Being born and bred in Malaysia, i've seen many many examples of people being late for MY appointment. In fact I am in in this situation now myself, but am I pissed?.....Nuhhh...I'm cool at least FOR NOW.

I'm cool because i've adopted the laid back approach from the Americans. They taught me that the ultimate bling factor is getting from one point to another in a fashionably late manner. Maintain composure, your coolness, your temper and your style when you arrive late......but when people arrive late for at your meeting, Fuck them mercilessly.

What got me blogging about this subject is because i had some issues from a nephew of mine. The story goes like this:

my neph posted something on his facebook wall, saying "I'm done with you' then few minutes later he changed his status to 'single'.

Being a gor gor its natural that i post a comment and ask about the situation,and i usually have the tendency to quote some sarcasm into my lines as well, so i said something like 'people nowadays are so rambang ...etc'. Minutes later i received a blardy long mail from a girl, which i think is his girlfriend.
In the message, she asked me about his relationship with other girls. " its' funny, becuase it reads like she's so into backhand-ing the bitch that stole her bb.boy"

a qoute from the msg;

aka xxxx hi. · erm.. may i noe wat do u mean on yyyy status thr? u said him owez chg girls? izit he owez chg gf last year and oso within tis 3 months? cn u plz tel me the truth? erm.. don tell yyyy tat i msg u

i felt her desperation and stupidity in this particular message. This girl is so immature and not independant at all.

There could be a reason if you loose your bb.boy to someone else, maybe you're incompetent?,maybe your 32B is not sizeable enough?, or maybe you looked like his mom rather than his girl? or worse your habit makes other people beh tahan.

If you could read this dear... I hope you could solve this matter with real maturity. He's a big boy now, no need to sneak out and check him from behind, a real face to face Q and A would do nicely, you gotta look him in the eye, and ask him sincerely. There's no point sending me so many questions about him, because at the end of the day, you're the one who's making out with him and not me.

And the tip of the day for you is, don't even think of checkin your guy out. Guyz are the most honest being on earth. No point in looking where they've shove thier kok. Take my advice, real men speak true words.

And please, i hate it when people say ' dont tell him i asked you to....' WTF is the oldest trick in the book. I'm REAL men....

Just got myself a brand new Nokia E7 from the local Avaxx distributer. This phone which is considered to be Nokia's flagship model cost a cool RM2000 here in Malaysia. Upon receiving the complete package, i was surprised to see the size of the box, which is really really small and compact and tiny and microscopic and miniscule and..........

Good things comes in small package, and the same applies to this phone, which upon opening it reveals a host of X-tras supplied. There's 2 USB cables, 1 HDMI, Charger, Headphone, Manual and NO CD.

After charging the unit for till its full, i turned ON every option connectivity option available in it, The bluetooth, GPS, WIFI, data,GSM. I spent the whole day playing around with my new phone, i've streamed many many clips from youtube, used the camera a lot, played videos, gaming, browse the web and etc, and to my surprise, the battery lasted a day of heavy torturing, Mp4, Xvid all played great in this device, while RMVB was playable, but it lagged alot, while AVI is not playable. That's great amounts of power for great people.

The design itself feels very high quality to touch, and its hinges close with real determination, Slightly heavy to push at first, but once closed nobody will ever noticed that the keyboard can be slid away from the screen. Also the phone is relatively heavy, and with the aluminum construction, it could easily slide out from one's pocket.

Performance wise, i ranked it slightly O.K compared to my previous HTC HD2. The desktop screens, menus, and all its built in programs feels fast enough. IF there's no background programs running, it works fine and smooth, but if you pile up the background apps, the device could slow to a crawl or worse it hangs. After using the phone for a day, it hanged while i was downloading and installing some apps in OVI store, other than this glitch it works fine. Multitasking performance was good if you don't run more than 3-4 apps simultaneously. I'm sure most people are turned OFF by the poor performance of Nokia's of recent, but for this business phone but this works so much better than, say a Nokia N97.

For multimedia purposes, i can say it ran fine. Video's are smooth and the SCREEEN, is terribly good. Movies are so vivid, and the black colours are BLACK, not DIM or DARK, but "BLACK". And that's the good things i can remember because the others are BADDDD..... The music app is good but the quality is really poor, and music played thru my pair of headphone sounds very sharp, lacks bass, and just awful, and even my ol Nokia E63 sounded better than that. The speaker is also weak, thus conversation thru the speakerphone can only be carried out in a quiet environment.

The camera although having millions an millions of pixels, are just CRAP to use. I'll say again CRAAAAAAPPPPPP. With 8 Mp's i'm fooled by Nokia's claim that the EDOF camera is a simple point and shoot system offering superior quality photos at small siz...bla...bla. The pictures that came out from it has a white tinge to it no matter how you tune, the white balance, saturation and etc. Without autofocus you can't shoot A4 sized documents, or even close up photos because the systems doesn't have a focusing mechanisme. Let me say it again...CRAAAAPPPPPp.

Web browsing is awkward with the supplied browser, but after getting opera 10.1, it upgrades its status to one of the best mobile browsing device in the market. Fast,no lag, no hang,vivid pages, flash, and etc.

For business user though, this phone could probably be the one to hit the Gspots. Calls are too crisp and too clear, because unlike any other phones in the market, this comes equipped with a noise cancellation device system. Mails are easy to read and replying to them are just as easy because the keypad is so easy and comfortable to type, that I've written this whole review with my Nokia E7, and starting from NOW, my palms are feeling a little tired now.

So as a conclusion, this E7 phone which is built purposely for business users, excel in doing that, but it throws in many extra features which businessmen doesn't need. So unless you're a QUITEwealthy businessmen you will definitely find this as a perfect device for you because you couldn't afford a VERTU. If you're an average guy, with an average 9-5 job, chances are you'll regret buying this phone and wanting your money back. Wait a minute.... I'm an average joe.

Today 11th March 2011, 60 Japanese were killed in major tsunami after 8.9 magnitude quake.
Tsunami warnings blanketed the entire Pacific, as far away as South America, Canada, Alaska and the entire US West Coast.

The magnitude 8.9 offshore quake unleashed a 23-foot (7-meter) tsunami and was followed by more than 20 aftershocks for hours, most of them of more than magnitude 6.0. She's maggie, couple of years of years old, and its been a year since we last adopted her from the animal shelter.

She nearly went back to the shelter because my parent which initially wanted a guard dog, but eventually brought back a lovable and friendly dog. Just because they were so busy with their work, we decided to keep her instead, soon days, became months, and then a year had past.

Her happy nature, and her habit to stick close to her owner means that she is definitely the best companion dog, rather than a guard dog. After a stressed day at the office, my 2 lovable pets will be the one that's gonna let me forget everything...at least for a while.

I usually use my PS3 for gaming only, but now i've found another way to utilise it. All this while i had been playing games on my PS3 only because the built in wifi antenna of the PS3 is so crappy that i have to either move the router or the ps3 around my house just to get a signal. I got fed up with moving my ps3 around my house, so eventually i surrendered and used it for offline purpose only.

Since i've moved to a new office recently, i've managed to salve miles and miles of ethernet cables that i can used to hook my router to my PS3. The result is stable internet connection. So stable infact that i've stop using my laptop to stream movies. The only drawback with using the PS3 as a network TV is the inability to watch HD videos. I have to use youtube's XML (TV version of youtube) to watch non HD content. Videos that played so well on my PC, becomes very pixelated on the TV. I've read thru the web that youtube had specifically made a site for PS3 users called ps3.youtube.com . I've tried that but it seems like some HD videos still gives errors.

The conclusion is don't use your PS3 as a media player, but if you still want to do it, please install UBUNTU into it. This OS installation will turn your PS3 into a full fledge PC.

Wohoo, the NOKIA E7 is finally out

OMG, nokia had gone big screen this time around. With 4 inch of display area, it might well be the company's flagship model.

I've already seen the device itself in Maxis centre, becasue it is the most stunning ones you'll ever gonna notice there. Its very slim, quite heavy, very very properly built and feels very high in quality, and don't get me started on the beautifull display with amazingly vivid colour because it will wet the pants of some geeks in the process......

The moment i picked up the device, it felt so blardy solid and hefty, felt like holding up a gold bar!!!!. But once you turn on the power and started to scroll around and exploring the functions, you'll quickly experience some noticeable lags. To say that its not powerfull enough is definately not true because its got a 680 MHz ARM 11 processor and a Broadcom BCM2727 GPU, sufficient enough for a symbian.

Honestly, i really loved thi device and would like to bring one home, but the lag really put me off, and I think i'm gonna go to a nokia centre to re explore this device again before i make any decisions.

My first Chinese fine dining experience was at Liyen Ritz carlton in K.L (Jalan Imbi) 2nd Floor. As with all the other french/italian and etc dining experience, the Chinese ones are quite similar in some ways but totally reversed taste wise.

The similarity starts with the presentation of the thing, which starts with a very big plate and a small serving in the middle, and expect plate changes to occur very frequently, and chinese tea being topped up after every sip, and that's about where the similarities stops.

The chinese food i had here had a Cantonese theme to it, which most of them taste very mild in seasoning, and natural flavors is very much preferred. As a HAKKA kid, the food i ate are mostly very heavy in seasoning/herbs and spices, but after trying out this typical cantonese food, I quickly fell in love with it.

To sum up what i had that evening:-
-peking roast duck
-snow fungus and winter plums with braised pork
-barbecued baby pork ribs
-some braised sea cucumber and abalone
-apple and pork soup
-steamed soon hock fish
-some steamed veggies
-superior fried rice with scalops and prawns
-deep fried prawns with some sweet glazing on top of it.
-diced duck in a wrap
-superior glass noodles with alot of expensive things in it.
-coconut jelly desert
-fresh almond juice

You may think that the list is incredibly long, but the servings are relatively small in comparison with other traditional chinese cuisine. And we had 2 bottles of white wine (forget what's the name) to wash down all the food we had, and some excellent Chinese tea as well, and like all typical chinese meal, it had to be accompanied by at least some beer, so we ordered 4.

The bill for all these fine experience comes to rm2,400 for 9 of us. Yea, 9 of us just ate an iphone 4 in one single feast.

To rank the taste of the food, i'll definately put it below Overseas restaurant (Jln Imbi), but experience wise, it'll be an absolute first for me> number one

I've finally reached my 1 year Maxis broadband contract and i'm looking forward to change my ISP, The package that i've signed up with maxis, gives me a 3gb qouta monthly, and some pretty descent speed for my work regardless of where i am. I can work at home or in the office, and even in the forest of Kuala Lipis, I'm still able to send messages and surf the web.......Well that's about the good things that i can say about maxis BB.

The bad thing about this service is, the 3gb qouta, which maxis says is their fair usage policy to throttle down your speed after reaching that mark.

Before subscribing to this service, i've told my self "boy, 3gb of data is too much for me, and i don't even need half of that", but hey, I've signed up.

After 1 week of usage and being very happy with the service as well, the problem soon arises. As i check the usage indicator, it displays that i've already used up to 1.5 GB of data already, and in 3 weeks time, i've already surpassed the 3 GB qouta mark, and my surfing speed falls to snail pace.

Well, at first i thought that after the qouta, the speed will fall to at least 50%, but boy oh boy am i WRONG......It's been so blardy friggin slow after reaching the mark, and now i couldn't even login to Facebook or surf the web. Man...i feel that its even slower than my OLD 56K modem.

Some MAXIS supporters here might accuse me of being a heavy downloader or line hogger, but i seriously doubt that. My typical usage consist of surfing on facebook which sometimes requires me to link to "youtube" to view clips, e-mail, reading online news, blogging and general surfing. Noticed that i've highlighted YOUTUBE?.

Well, Youtube here is the major culprit that boost my data usage. I've discovered that a single 5 minute clip can use up to 30-60MB of data, and if you watch a lot, I recommend you to NOT USE MAXIS BROADBAND.

As for P1 super wiggy, lagi worse........not signal in my home in Bukit Antarabangsa. I was cheated by P1 because they publish on the web that my house is within the range of its WIMAX station, and THEY FRIGGIN LIED......

At last, i've decided to give P1 another chance by giving their flagship Modem the DX230 a try, but even that had hard time getting a full signal. Since i've got a couple of days left before i surrender my modem back to P1 for a refund, i'm gonna try positioning the modem throughout my house to try to get a full signal.

You see, Malaysian roads are very unique in its own way, kinda like an Asian AUTOBAHN, and you can always drive your car up to its maximum top speed as long as you can afford it. Where else can you find powerful cars storming on the fast lanes of the road at speeds of over 180km/h and then won't get caught?

And even if you get caught, chances for you to not pay the summon is high chiefly because the SAMAN will arrive at your post a couple of years later....yeap, it's A COUPLE OF YEARS LATER!!!

I once encountered this problem where i nearly bang a traffic squad down when speeding into a corner and then suddenly encountered a blockade in the middle of it. I was then greeted by a friendly policeman that smiles warmly at me and he says " Bang dah 10km/h lebeh laju nih, nak saman ke atau setel?". My HTC HD2 had been with me for nearly a year now, and look at it now! battle scars,bruises and scratches all over its body. The Toyota Alphard 2.4 after 5000KMs

This which has travelled over 5000km still goes like its brand new. Buttery smooth, silent, comfy and solid. The van here is used mainly on K.L roads which is not very evenly paved.

The only problem that i've encounter during the ownership f this vehicle is that its steering rack produces a clunking sound on 3/4 lock, and when going over sharp ruts, the sound is amplified, and vibrations can be felt on the steering.

Other than the mentioned niggles, the car is built according to Toyota's high standards, and it felt that it could last for a very long time.

I'm sure that many of my friends and the reader here already knows that Malaysian imports a lot of Japanese cars. For one thing these Japs are a lot cheaper and secondly they are more reliable and easier to maintain compared to European marques.

Buying japanese cars means that modification is usually a must for the prospective buyer, and the modifications can range from audio player, coolant systems, heater systems and etc.

Lets start with my Nissan Murano for instance. 97% of the buttons available in the car is labeled in Japanese, the aircond swithces and radio control buttons are examples where it teases your mind into thinking which operates which. Till today, i still encountered problems in operating the radio properly, and the huge range of functions which the built in on board computer remains unexplored.

This Toyota Fortuner is a turbo diesel model, and its engine is the same ones derived from the popular UTE Toyota hilux.

Fortuner and the hilux looks very similar and shares many components, but they drive very differently from one another.

When comparing to the hilux, you will quickly notice the more sophisticated ride, which is slightly more comfortable than the hilux but still relatively bumpy. This fortuner here uses a multi link beam type suspension with coil springs at the rear compared to hilux which uses a floating axle type on leaf springs.

Going off road in this thing is like a walk in the park. An 60kmh drive on gravel roads feels relatively comfy due to its large tyres and stiff chassis, but crest and bumps still jolts the passenger violently which i suspect due to its stiff springs.

This MPV is a couple of inch lower than the previous model, thus no problem in car parks.

Beautifull dash board is simple as well. I love how the aircond vents are sculpted which looks much like the ones from porsche panamera.

The roof comes equiped with railings for curtains

I was given the opportunity to test drive the new Toyota Alphard 2.4 courtesy of Iktikadraya. This Alphard here is the Alphard 09' model which comes with high equipment levels such as twin power door, front and rear camera, bluetooth handsfree, 17 inch wheels and etc. The price for this 09 van is at RM280,000.00, and i was told that the price can go up to RM340+ if you tick all the options in the list.

Ride quality

Upon driving this vehicle, i quickly noticed how quiet the ride is. At speeds of 160km/h, the ride feels very comfortable with a slight firmness, very quiet and serene and while going at that speed all that is heard is the engine noise. At 160kmh the noise from the engine is very buzzy, it sounds like running 'along' a heavily modified perodua kancil with huge exhaust at the back. The ride feels a little bit firmer than the toyota estima in comparison but it is still comfy, and the only thing that bother it is when going thru speed bumps which a 'thunk' sounds can be heard from the suspension.

Engine

The engine feels a little down on power and when travelling at 120kmh, the engine is spinning at a low 2000 rpm, and the sounds it makes when spinning at 3k rpm sounds tinny.....sounds more like a 600cc K-car engine.

I kept telling myself that i'm in a 7 seater family van, and not a sports car, but the shortfall from the engine is too much for me to ignore it.

The eco indicator in the dash board will light up when the vehicle senses that it is running in maximum efficiency mode. Quite frugal to drive when you keep the eco mode light on at all times.

My friend also reported that the fuel tank which can store up to RM120.00 worth of RON97 petrol can sustain long cruises from penang till K.L and this makes it

'quite' fuel efficient too.

The gearbox is a CVT unit and it has a virtual 7 speed, and its operation is buttery smooth.

Cabin

The cabin is finished in cloth and fabric, and its quality lives up to Toyota's reputation. The cream coloured cabin although light and airy gets dirty easily. The cabin is also very inviting and has all the creature comforts that you will find to be a godsend when going on long haul journeys. This 7 seater version has 2 captain chair in the middle row and it offers the best place in the cabin, while the powerful rear ceiling air conditioner keeps all the rear passengers cool.

While wafting along at high speed, a decent conversation can be had between the third row seat passenger and the driver. The seats are firm and supportive, and it feels very much like a sports/bucket seat rather than cosy armchair feel, but it is very comfortable to lay your bottom on.

The driver is perched up high as most MPV's do and controls are all focused on the driver, the seats are comfortable, dials are easy and clear to read and not to mention is the beautiful optitron meters.

Conclusion

This toyota alphard is the best cruiser van around, and luxury and the reliability it offers makes it the most popular choice among malaysian who looks in this category. The comfort, quietness and classiness of this MPV will more than attract you to drop a booking after test driving one of these, and if you have one of these in your garage i'm sure you'll be more than eager to drive all the way to penang to have some laksa then return home after that.

This toyota alphard when compared to the slightly pricier toyota vellfire is identical in comparison, except for minor exterior changes such as the front and rear lights but if you're rich enough to buy the 3.5litre version, you might want to choose the Toyota vellfire which comes with mid-row pilot seats.

Recently i've been on the lookout for sling bags or document bag to contain all my college stuffs, since its quite a free semester, i reckon that i don't need a big bag after all, thus i went shopping and there i stumbled upon a brown COACH Signature Messenger Bag paraded in one of the shops, went in, checked it out and paid for it.

A few days before buying this, i've reminded myself to get a louis vuitton sling bag and i've repeated it countless times enough that the word LV resonates in my ear even when entering the boutique, but UNFORTUNATELY i came out with a COACH.

This sling bag is Quite high in quality, and since its my first coach bag, i'd like to do a small review on it. You can typically summarise it in a few short word that is> Great value at low price. Don't get me wrong because it ain't cheap here in Malaysia as it retails at 2.3k, but with that much money, i'm getting a quality that is very NEAR to the ones of LV but priced lower. The primary reason i've bought this coach is because i can't afford the LV Damier sling which cost nearly 5k.

Now after months of using it, all i can say about it is it suck. The Varchetta leather on the cover is not waterproof and it will stain easily when exposed to water, thus i can't clean it with water. Also the light brown colour is susceptible to dirt, and any smudges on the bag can be easily seen.

I've seen the review in the web, and some of them treat this bag as a diaper bag!!!!. I'd like to keep it with me as long as i could, because i will like to use it as a diaper bag as well......This is not an excellent document bag.

So i've done it, I've designed out a cargo truck body which is made out of aluminium. I took me a some time to learn the basic of drawing this thing and it ain't easy doing it.

I'm happy that my design works perfectly and Solidworks is churning out some great figures that shows it is at least 2 times lighter than its wood and steel component brother.

Guess my thesis is all settled well before the dateline. Now where's my copy of STARCRAFT 2?????

Wind up Proton as it’s a failure, says Bung Mokhtar

BACKBENCHER’S Club deputy chairman Datuk Bung Moktar Radin has called for Proton to be wound up claiming that the national car maker had embarrassed the nation by trying to pass off a rebadged Mitsubishi Lancer as the Proton Inspira.

Bung Moktar (BN-Kinabatangan) said he could not accept Proton’s excuse that it was too costly to develop its own car to replace the Proton Waja.

“Proton said it would cost RM700mil to produce a new car. If it cannot afford (to design a new model), then just close down

“Do not embarrass the country. Proton has been doing research and development for years. Don’t tell me that there is no design that can make the people proud,” he said while debating the Budget 2011.
Azmin Ali (PKR-Gombak) then pointed out that Proton made RM301.8mil in losses in 2009 and asked Bung Mokhtar for his opinion.

Sometimes i laughed at how foolish our local politicians can be, saying things without filtering and directly from the heart without thinking about the consequences.

The statement that he gave about proton shows that as though he graduated from the university of hutan, cmon ah-bung, how can you just shelved PROTON just like that? Do you have any idea how many suppliers is working under it and shelving this gigantic company means breaking the ricebowls of at least hundreds of small time suppliers.

I admit that i do hate proton, and they should have taken the offfer to merge with VW ages ago if not for their JUAL MAHAL attitude. Ah-bung even a street kid like me knows that proton is an important component to our artificialy balanced motoring industry, but shelving proton is not the answer, and if proton embarass you so much, why dont you find a strategic partner for them?

BMW 523i(e60) and Mercedes Benz E240(W211)

The BMW's 523i

This car here is a drivers car i would say chiefly because whenever it feels better when you're in the drivers seat rather than the passenger's. The best thing that in noticed about this car is when i turned the ignition key and revved the inline 6 all the way up till 6k rpm, and it feels damn smooth, infact alot smoother and silkier than i-vtec engine which i regard as the best engines i've ever sampled.

Power wise, its able, but you'll have to be a little aggressive on the throttle to see it go real fast.The NB25 engine produces 218Bhp at 6500rpm, and generates 250Nm of torque at a low 2750rpm, and it accelerates from 0-100kmh in 7.9 seconds.On paper it does look pretty damn mighty, but in real life it doesn't go as aggressively as the specification suggest. It is quite difficult to provoke a wheelspin, probably due to the large grippy wheels. Although more powerfull than the mercedes e240, the noise that it came from the exhaust still lacks the manly growl that came out from the double sided exhaust of the mercedes.

Ride wise, as you would expect is sporty. The standard spring of this BMW is comparable to the Avantgarde mercedes with lowered sports suspension, which i think is a little bit bumpy. The cabin is quiet during highway and town runs.The steering is very sharp, responsive, accurate, and with every millimeter of steering inputs, the movements of the wheels can be felt. overly Aggressive Active Steering system perhaps?

The cabin is quite spacious, comfy, quiet and the seats are quite comfortable if you're a passenger, And if you're a driver, there's lots of toys that distract you from driving. The I-drive for example takes time to master, and the gearstick is gimicky and confusing. You push the gear lever down for up shifts and up for down shifts, and to enter P, you'll have to press a button.

As for conclusion, if you're aged between 20-35, you can buy one for yourself, because this car will probably be one of the most expensive TOY you'll ever had. With a sea of functions and gadgets for you to play with, and an engine that revs so sweetly till its redline suggest that it can outrun ah bengs in between traffic lights.And if you don't mind the hard ride, go for the M-sport package, highly recommended.

The Mercedes Benz'

This e240 has a 2600cc engine that is quite smooth too, but it still looses out to the BMW, in terms of power, its 205hp and 245NM torque is no challenge to the mighty BMW's engine. Where it looses in output, it gains in offering a growly induction noise when revved. When driving around town, this engines needs to be revved to get it to the next traffic lights ASAP, but it doesn't have the silky smoothness of the BMW, and the it feels lazy and relaxed.

The gearchange in this Merc is BADDDD, gearchanges at low speed is jerky, it doesn't matter if the transmissions selector is pressed to comfort, and if its in sporty its even jerkier, but if you drive it faster, these problems disappear. I usually drive it in sport settings, because it sharpens the throttle and gearchanges. The throttle is clasically mercedes like, requiring long travel before it will GO, tricky to modulate at low speed.

The brakes on this mercedes is a SBC(sensotronic brake) and it doesn't give of much feel to the driver, in town drive the pedal feels is OK, but when you hit it when doing a 180kmh run, it'll scare you, because a slight travel will induce a hard brake, nonetheless the brakes are powerfull enough to stop this big exec.

The ride on lowered and harder avantgarde spec package is good, it betters the BMW, and its good in the corners too. Body roll is very minimal and the Continental premium contact tyre is excellent in holding the big exec on the road as well as offering a quiet ride.

The seats are comfy, but shoulders support is quite lacking, but generally these firm seats are good in holding you in place during spirited driving.

The cabin is also a very nice place to be in, and personally, i think it is much more better than in the BMW. Rear aircond vents in the center console and B-pillar is a god sent, and they are powerful enough to quickly cool the cabin in the hot weather, and the BMW doesn't have that. Passenger at the back will also enjoy huge space and comfort on long journeys, and it felt less claustrophobic in the light coloured mercedes cabin rather than the darker BMW cabin.

One of the bugbears of this exec is the low ground clearance. The 15mm lowered suspension compared to the elegance version means that the avantgarde car will have to go really slow on speed bumps or poorly surfaced roads. The low front bumper is also susceptible to scratches from road divider, or other higher obstacles.

As a conclusion, If value comfort in your day to day drive to work or holiday, you'll certainly wanted to be wafted home/to your destination with a mercedes. This mercedes is a car that is easy to drive if you do not like to refer to the drivers manual, and if you're 35-50 get the elegance specification because it is much more comfortable and has a higher ground clearance, but if you're young, get one with the AMG bodykit and aggresive 19'inch rims.

7.24.30.00am, that's how fast the sun rises. I quickly grab my camera just as i saw the sun rays rising from behind the hill, and then in a split second *kapoof* the sun is up there.


The sun is happily blasting us with UV's at around 7.30am.

Bukit Broga is just a 49KM drive away from my place in Ampang via the grand saga highway. This is my first time here, so i've prep myself up with a bag full of stuffs as i would normally do in long hikes. Started my journey at 5am and reached there at 5.40am which is still too dark to hike, so it is important to bring along your LED/XENON/halogen lights along for early morning hike.

It was raining heavily when we started our journey from my home, and when we reached it was still drizzling with rain and mist. Armed only with 2 xenon torches, 5 of us continued our walk into the unknown when it was still dark, wet and slippery.

The trails leading all the way up this hill is unchallenging, safe and i think that kids from age 12 onwards could possibly scale up this hill without difficulties, and on my way down i saw many seniors grannies too. Muddy trails and small sharp rocks are the only difficulties that one encounters during this hike, so it is vital to have a good pair of hiking shoes to protect your feet.

-A big hat, when tracking on midday, be sure to bring this, as there is no trees and natural shades up here.

-During rainy season, the mud trails can become slippery, thus a good pair of hiking shoes is essential, but my Nike Court shuttle seems to work fine!!!

This King Long CAM Placer commercial van is the latest 15 seater van from China Auto Manufacturers group, priced at an affordable RM83,837.60 for private registration and RM84,201.71 for company registration, it represents great value if you compare it againts other chinese competition such as Jinbei. This van offers huge amount of headroom, and small people could easily stand up in the cabin without bobbing his head.

The engine

As expected from every diesel engine, it is noisy and clattery, but thats all that is sacrificed. The engine is powerful, torquey and very economical. Because of my work that involves commercial trucks, i dont find any problems with the engine, and i think that Kinglong has made a wise decision in fitting the world's most popular diesel engine into the worlds most undesirable brand, as it balances it.

The cabin

The cabin is a great place to be in, although the rear seat are a bit upright,hard and covered with canvas and cloth, but i do get a powerful air conditioner, and the ride is quite comfy too. I might scare you when i say the engine is a bit loud, but the quietness and the comfort level of the ride is more than make up for that inadequacies. And a expected too are its quality level which is typically low, although i do noticed that the plastics on the door of this van is less rough and inferior to the Proton Exora's, and the doors close with solid thud'."not so Tinny as expected", and i also liked the LED lights on the wing mirrors of the van.

The drive

The van is powerful and effortless enough to cruise along highways at a fairly high speed straights, but DO watch out for the corners as it isn't very good there. At speeds of 80-100kmh, the ride is still comfy, but as it goes higher it deteriorates.The supplied onboard computer is a gimmicky device...sure its got reverse camera,trip, info and etc function, but it is difficult to see under a bright day due to poor LCD screen, and its difficult to judge the distance when reversing, even with a reverse camera.

Conclusion

All this while, i've never been in a chinese made van before, and i actually thought that these vans are inferior and prone to breakdowns, but guess what, My perception is wrong with this van. And i'll suggest this product to those who wants to ferry 15 people, drives around town, wants cheap and good value van.

Power output : 175 HP / 130KW @ 6000rpm
Torque: 180 ft.lbf at 4000rpm

Performance wise, its just merely OK from the 2.5litre unit, as it need to haul something that's around 1.8tonnes. A hard drive on the stretches of genting highlands will expose all the weaknesses of the handling of any vehicles, and this big SUV is not exempted. This SUV gives a bumpy ride on rough roads even though it has a long travel suspension. The low speed ride is terrible, and small ridges rattled their way into the cabin, and even those fantastic and cushy seats cant seems to hold you in properly in place because the ride can get so bumpy that you will constantly find yourself adjusting your bottom very often.
When cornering, this SUV tends to lurch thru the corners. The amount of body roll is OK, but when cornering, it tends to feel front heavy, making cornering entry feels scary. Thankfully the steering feels is good and accurate, but there's not much feels to it.
The brakes on the other hand feels just 'sufficient' to stop this SUV, perhaps its because of the long travel pedal? The brakes also tend to cook easily, because when i reached the foothill of genting highland, i found myself slamming harder on the brakes to stop.

On highway runs, this thing feels more comfortable, partly due to its smooth CVT gearbox. The engine is spinning at merely 2000rpm when doing 120-130kmh, and at speeds of up to 160kmh, the cabin remains very quiet. But in town the CVT behaves differently, because i found myself braking more frequently in heavy traffic.The gear ratio can be so high that a dab on the accelerator can bring the vehicle so far away. Fuel consumption of this vehicle is relatively high, and i average around 6.4 - 7.3Km/litre when driving around town , but when driving on the highways it improves at around 10-11km/litre.

The interior of this cruiser is a very comfortable place to be in, because it is spacious, the big and cushy seats are comfy feels supportive just like couch would, and it is quiet. Driving controls feels good, tactility is OK, ergonomics is OK but the overall build quality feels somewhat poor. The doors don't close with a solid "Thud", the back tonneau cover rattles when going over bumps, and door handles that feels too filmsy.
The rear seats are very spacious and comfy, and it can fit 3 big and tall fellas back there comfortably. The keyless entry feature is very usefull, as well as the rear and side camera that becomes indispensable when parking this vehicle in tight spaces.

As conclusion the the ownership of this SUV, i'd say its best suited for highway runs, because its the only place where i find it relaxing to travel in, and also won't scare me. Most auto magazines will tell you how good this SUV is, but let me tell you that it ISN'T, and the only reason why i end up owning this Murano is because there is no other car in the market that is this stylish,big,have good ground clearance, good standard specs, and within the 2500cc range.

The way it drives feels 'similar' to the KIA SORENTO.

Update 16/4/2010

Taken the Nissan Murano 3.5 AWD for a spin and it is different compared to the IMPUL tuned units. For one the ride is smoother and much much more comfy, but with extra weight at the front, it feels a little more nose heavy when cornering hard. Also, the Nissan Murano rolls more in corners.

So the Impul 725 is actually, a tuned up version of the nissan murano, that has a terribly harder ride, and a little bit more enjoyable when cornering hard.

2nd stage assembling the floor panels
3rd stage assembling the crossmembers and the floor panels
4th stage simulation

But before starting these designs, i'll first have to do test on the various types of woods, aluminium and steels.

I’m lucky to get my hand on my friend’s Proton Juara 1.6 that he just bought. This little MPV here sits 7 people without problem. I myself is 6 feet tall, and I don’t find any problems sitting at the third row seats although getting to the third row is a problem. Overall this MPV is spacious enough to fit 7 people onboard and long journeys (1 hr) won’t easily tire the occupants courtesy of the comfy “Benches” and very good aircond system for the rear as well with separate blowers. Interior looks nice with clear and bright dashboard and controls are easy to reach, ergonomics is OK

I felt the car strained itself during the test drive with 7 people on board, well its logical to assume that for a family MPV that fits 7 and with cargo to haul, do you think a 1600cc engine can be up to task? Apparently Proton engineers said YES.

The ride quality is acceptable, better than a Nissan Murano but not better than Toyota Estima, no further comments can be given as I didn’t drive aggressively because the owner is sitting next to me at that moment. The suspension arrangement is typical of a MPV, independent at front and torsion beam at rear.

As for quality wise, I think it’ll disappoint many. The first impression of opening the doors had already let me down. The doors open and close with a hollow sound, even the boot and engine hood sounds ridiculously tinny, furthermore, the interior trim is so hard that it seems as though as its made out of rhinoceros hide, and glued into place with cement, A piece of shit if you ask me.
As for conclusion, if i am in the market for a MPV that cost around 80k, I’ll definitely definitely not buy this, because the quality of it make me feel unsafe in it…… Sorry proton for bashing your product, I really liked to support our local product, but it seems that every car that rolls out from your production seems to be like shit.

I've just ditched my ol dell inspiron 9400 for a spanking new alienware M17x gaming lappy. This beast here weighs more than 4Kg, and it aint pleasant to haul one around, but the looks and the attention it attracts more than makes up for that. This laptop is so good chiefly because it has 2 of everything, hard drives, graphics card, processor cores, and a screen that generally bigger than yours...lol (just looks at the power adapter).

The high resolution screen (1920x1200) together with the nvidia SLI provides the eye candy that i've never experienced in any laptop before, and So far a week of owning it i must say that i'm very happy with its performance and its looks, and i find myself constantly changing colours to suit my mood. But the only gripe i've got with this laptop is its stability issues. I'm not sure if its alienware or windows that should take this blame but i've lost count of how many times it crashed and the frustrating moments i've had with the built in slot loading Optiarc CD/DVDrw drive which doesnt seem to work with some of my DVD's and those "ahem" discs.

Fortis had stopped selling this model for some time, and if you could find one that's still in stock, I'm pretty sure that it's gonna be unbelievably cheap.

This watch looks very basic and simple, quite light on the wrist and it feels comfortable on your wrist. The black and white dial is very easy to read at one glance and the orange coloured second hands are very striking.

I'm quite dissapointed by the quality of the lume in this watch, its not bright and lasting enough . I measure brightness of my watches in the cinema, i usually will read the time after 30 minutes into the movie.

I've sold this watch after a couple of months owning it because i don't quite like it.

Wohoo, my first big ticket to the world of celebs...

Ok..i admit it, perhaps i'm not really happy with the way my body looks and i look forward to have a shapelier-bulkier-sexier and better looking body than most of you.

To be frank, I almost always gave a second look to guyz with great perky round butts and toned legs, and Dont get me wrong coz I'm not A GHEY boy, but the shape makes me so damn jealous, and it makes me wanna have one too. And after seeing some of my friends from that fitness centre had great butts after few months> I've decided to join in.

My first visit to the centre blows my mind away, because the joining fees were friggin sky high, around 1k+ and with monthly fees of rm400+ per month. I simply said NO.

Just when i was about to walk out of the outlet, the salesmen quickly stood up and said "Wait brader, i give u cheap cheap, lets sit and talk". I turned around, and listened to what he sez. I was surprised that this time he offered me something which was much much lower than the initially offered price, and after a round of negotiating, We seal the deal at RM400 for joining fees, and rm130 for monthly fees.

Imagine how SH i'll be if i paid the full price. Luckily this time i'm smarter :-)

Just bought this phone a week ago from harvey norman which retails at around rm250. I was to buy a pair of GRADO SR80 phones when a change of plans took me to Harvey norman instead. This headphone caught my eye because its quite compact when folded,and also partially because of the constant poisoning by the salesmen.

Well i bought it, and took it home for a round of armin van buuren, ATB, above and beyond and DJ tiesto. After all those songs i found the phones to be sufficiently good for these songs. I personally felt that i was too boomy and bassy, which requires constant fiddling with the equalizer.

Pop tracks from beyonce, greenday. linkin park, and etc sounds nice. I swear i did not fiddle with the equalizer when playing these tracks.

For jazz, i have to turn on the SRS effect on to boost the clarity of the tones, but drums and bass sounds absolutely splendid here.

conclusion, at rm250 is a good buy, but always keep your equalizer on to boost trebles.

Very clear and easy to read.

Interior is fine. Controls are easy to reach, Build quality is good.

The is currently the biggest hyundai I’ve driven ever. With the ability to carry 11 people at a go, I’m sure it’ll be a hot seller in this country. Starting at around rm140k ++, I don’t think that its got much competitions.

The cabin feels well made, with lots of robust plastics around, and the cabin feels rather airy thanks to the powerful air conditioning unit.

Powering this big bread van will be a diesel powered 2.5 litre engine with common rail turbo unit with VGT. The power unit feels strong on pull, its feels brisk even with 7 people on board.

The ride is a little on the stiff side but at least the seats are comfortable and the noise level is low.

Over weeks of usage, I had no issues with the hyundai starex except for one, its huge size. This van is so huge that parking it becomes a difficult chore, and not to mention its huge turning radius as well.

I nearly fainted as when i saw my phone bill for this month. The problem is caused by my HTC touch HD 2 constant connection to the internet. This phone likes to sync its weather,stock,music and etc online which is pretty convenient, but then wait till you see the monthly bill.

Since then i've setup my phone to only allow MMS, NO MORE maxis internet, NO MORE GPRS/WCDMA/3G....bla bla.

Perhaps DIGI will be my next choice.

Big phone,small package

It felt comfortable in my hands.

This is the latest big arse PDAphone from HTC, and its called the touch HD2. Bought this baby at rm2.8k, and i think its currently the best phone in the market. Well before buying this i've considered the iphone 3gs, but when i got the know of the poor battery life of it, i quickly changed my mind.

This phone here has got a massive 4.3 inch screen, and its powered by a 1ghz processor. After 2 weeks of usage, i can say that its the best windows mobile phone i've used. The phone is stable (no lags,hangs,glitches), battery life is surprisingly good(2 days of moderate to heavy voice call usage).

Contrary to the reviews seen on the web about this phone being too massive to fit into a shirt pocket, i found that its surprisingly pocketable, although slightly wider than an iphone, this HTC is considerably slimmer and sexier than the iphone. And it fits perfectly into my tight jeans, and shows little bulge.

The only gripe about this phone is the difficulty i face when typing a message. As a regular keypad user of my nokia e63, i found that typing on the touch hd2 is really difficult and its something new to me, and because i cant feel the spaces between the keys, i tend to make a lot of mistakes when typing, and its even difficult for me to achieve 30 wpm.

to conclude on this phone after 2 weeks of usage, i can safely say that its probably the best phone one that i've used. I also found that i don't have to carry my laptop around that often anymore as most of the job can be done on my phone eg. sending/editing pdf files, showing photos/videos to my customers, full featured browser,geotag my picutres, entertainment, as a good camera and camcorder, and the best thing is that it can do all this simultaneously without showing any lagging.

The downside of this device is probably the keyboard which requires you to get used to, and also this HD2 runs quite hot when you really work it out.
